Whiskers on the Wind

This project is a visual diary born from my travels across the UK during the tender bloom of spring and the golden hush of autumn. Journeying with dear friends, I found poetry in the fleeting moments glimpsed from train windows: forest glowing in dusk light, quirky seaside buildings standing quietly against the tide, the rhythm of landscapes rolling by like a lullaby.
Along the way, I filled sketchbooks with spontaneous drawings—snapshots of memory, mood, and motion. Later, I wove these sketches into a series of mixed-media illustrations, blending collage and hand-drawn elements to capture both the real and the imagined.
To guide the viewer through this dreamlike recollection, I created a character—a quiet observer and playful stand-in for myself. Through its' little whiskers, all the sences and memories just flashed back: not just the places we went, but the warmth of friendship, the awe of discovery, and the way certain moments stay with you, softly etched like sun on skin.
