Soundscape
We often perceive things visually, as our eyes provide us with immediate, intuitive impressions. However, our ears and mouths—organs that both produce and receive sound—also have a profound impact on us. Is it possible to truly know someone just by their voice? In recent years, voice actors and radio dramas have surged in popularity, and many people are forming connections through online platforms that rely on text and voice communication. Does sound, then, serve as a business card of another dimension? Is its appeal rooted in the tone, inclusivity, or something else entirely? What types of sounds become popular, and who determines their appeal? With these questions in mind, I began to delve into the realm of sound. How can we visualize something as intangible as sound? Is there a "standard" sound, much like the universally accepted ideal of beauty in portraits?
Metamorphosis
A caterpillar's life
In this animation, I explore the transformative journey of a caterpillar evolving into a butterfly—an allegory for the cycles of change in life. As the caterpillar undergoes dramatic visual transformations, it reflects the profound shifts we experience throughout our existence. Yet, as the animation comes full circle with the caterpillar returning to its original form, it highlights a deeper message: no matter how much we change on the outside, our inner essence remains unaltered. This piece speaks to the infinite nature of life's cycles, where external changes are inevitable, but our core identity endures, resilient and constant through all phases of life.
